A Montessori Parent & Toddler Programme · Pune

Your child's first year of Montessori — experienced together.

Long before school begins, a child's mind is doing its most important work. Beginnings is a calm, intimate Montessori programme for eight families and their toddlers — 18 months to 3 years — set inside Flourish's fully prepared environment — you and your child, side by side, three mornings a week, from 10 August 2026.

Not a playgroup. Not an activity centre. A calm, prepared Montessori environment — child-sized materials, trained guides, the same unhurried rhythm every morning — where the parent is the second learner.

If you're looking for a busy rotation of activities to keep your child occupied, Beginnings isn't it. We offer one consistent, beautiful, ordered environment — deliberately quiet, deliberately repetitive — because repetition is how a young child builds concentration, confidence and independence.

Ninety minutes, every day.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm — and the shape of the morning never changes, because consistency is the pedagogy. The year runs as five sessions of six weeks each; materials evolve gradually from one session to the next, but your child's routine never does.

i
11:00 — 11:10

Arrival & settling

Your child walks in on their own feet, removes their shoes, hangs their own bag, washes their hands. The guide greets each child by name, at child height.

ii
11:10 — 11:50

The work cycle

Your child chooses freely from low shelves — practical life, sensorial, art. You sit quietly on a low stool and watch, while the guide steps in only when it's truly needed.

iii
11:50 — 12:20

Tidy-up, snack & the outdoors

Children restore materials to their shelves, then head outside for a snack and open play. The gardens stay ready every day — garden beds, water, sand and space to climb — and this time is unstructured, theirs to roam and explore as they choose.

iv
12:20 — 12:30

Closing circle

Songs, movement, and a consistent goodbye ritual. You're welcome to share your own observations with the guide and ask for feedback at the end of the day, after 12:30.

Confidence and independence, the Montessori way

All of this calm and repetition serves one goal: a child who can say — and show — "I can do it myself."

"Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed."
Maria Montessori

Our guides step back so your child can persist and succeed on their own. Confidence is built from real accomplishment — never from applause.

"Repetition is the secret of perfection."
Maria Montessori · The Discovery of the Child

A toddler repeats the same work again and again — not from boredom, but from a deep drive toward mastery. We protect that repetition, and never interrupt it with novelty.

"Help me do it myself."
The child's plea · The Secret of Childhood

Low hooks, small jugs, real cups: every detail is sized so your child can manage without you. Independence is the goal — the environment is the means.

Questions, answered.

The things parents most often ask us. Anything else — WhatsApp us and we'll reply personally.

What ages is Beginnings for?

Beginnings is for toddlers — children from 18 months to 3 years of age — attending together with a parent. If you're unsure whether the timing is right for your child, ask us on WhatsApp and we'll help you decide.

Which days and times do the mornings run?

Mornings run three times a week — Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Do I stay with my child for the whole morning?

Yes. Beginnings is a parent-and-toddler programme — you attend together, and the parent is the second learner. You sit quietly on a low stool and observe during the work cycle. If another consistent caregiver, such as a grandparent, will accompany your child, mention it in your application.

Is Beginnings a daycare or a playgroup?

No. Beginnings is not a drop-off daycare and not an activity centre. It is a calm, prepared Montessori environment with real child-sized materials and trained guides, where the same unhurried rhythm repeats every morning — because repetition is how a young child builds concentration, confidence and independence.

When does the programme start, and how is the year structured?

The first cohort begins on 10 August 2026. The first year runs 28 weeks, from August to the end of March, as five sessions of six weeks each. Materials evolve gradually from one session to the next, but your child's routine never changes.

What does the fee include?

The programme fee for the first year is ₹1,12,000 per child, paid over 5 sessions. It includes everything — the prepared environment, in-house Montessori guides, daily outdoor time, parent education sessions, guidance for setting up a Montessori home, Flourish Family Membership, your child's developmental journal, and a ₹15,000 fee credit toward admission into the Flourish Montessori programme the following year. There are no add-ons or upgrades.
